Op vrijdag 4 april wordt alweer de 100ste Daily Minutes van PA00NEWS uitgezonden.

Vanwege die 100ste vindt op zaterdagochtend 26 april een speciale uitzending plaats met een extra groot zendvermogen van 100 kW. Dit dankzij The Mighty KBC (kbcradio.eu) die de zendtijd hiervoor beschikbaar stelde. Omdat The Mighty KBC een Engelstalig station is, zal de uitzending ook in het Engels zijn.

Gegevens van de uitzending:

• Datum: zaterdag 26 april,
• Tijdstip: tussen 11.00 en 11.15 uur UTC
  (als ik me niet vergis zitten we dan inmiddels in zomertijd, dus dat is in dat geval tussen 13.00 en 13.15 Nederlandse tijd).
• Uitzendfrequentie: 6095 kHz.
  Een stukje onder de 40 meter amateurband dus. De uitzending zal daarmee in een groot deel van Europa te ontvangen zijn.

N.B. De nummering van de PA00NEWS-uitzendingen is enigszins ingewikkeld tot stand gekomen. Bij de eerste uitzendingen werd het nieuws, zoals dat nu ook vaak gebeurt, per dag opgenomen. Echter in het begin kregen die dagelijkse nieuwsbulletins een apart nummer. Later zijn de nummers in gebruik geraakt voor de wekelijkse uitzendingen. Zodoende zitten we nu al op nummer 100, terwijl de uitzending pas half augustus 2 jaar bestaat.

One Time High Power Transmission by PA00NEWS

Celebrating their 100th edition on Friday April 4th, PA00NEWS will have a one time broadcast of a special edition of their Amateur Band bulletins in English. This special edition will be broadcast on Saturday April 26 between 11.00 and 11.15 UTC on 6095 kHz with 100 kW of output power, thanks to The Mighty KBC who provided the time slot on their transmitter.

PA00NEWS is a news bulletin for the Dutch and Flemish ham radio community, normally transmitted in Dutch and English on the ham band repeater PI3UTR (145,575 MHz) and on the Internet. I almost never script content for the transmissions of PA00NEWS. I believe in spontanity and scripting tries to organize, so most of the PA00NEWS transmission does sound fairly disorganized. And that is fine so 🙂
