Antenne-foto 69, PA3BNX, ontwerp simpele doppler-peiler

  Still enthousiast about doppler direction-finders after as much as 13 years. This is partly because it isn’t too easy…

The devil is in the detail, such as the antenna array. And the software, of course…

I even have the antenna on a plate in the way such as I did send in before. So I can hunt for transmitters in the same manner as AT (= Dutch FCC, Ofcom etc.) does. This is done in amplitude modulation by means of a correlation detector. In my software this is called a ‘SinCos detector’.

It is nothing more or less than being a pioneer. Luckily PA8W is helping. Just like PE0SSB and PA0SIR and others do.

But slowly we are really getting somewhere, as can be seen via the URL’s (texts mostly in Dutch language) below.

Het venijn zit in de kleine dingen zoals de antenne array. En natuurlijk de software.

Ik heb zelfs een plaatantenne zoals op de eerdere foto die ik ingestuurd heb. Dus net zo peilen als de AT auto’s doen hi. Dat gaat in de mode AM met een correlatie-detector. In mijn software heet dat SinCos detector.

Het is pionieren gelukkig denkt PA8W wel mee net als PE0SSB en PA0SIR en anderen.

Maar langzamerhand wordt het toch wel wat.
